Sex and the City's male stars were ordered to trim down for their movie roles.
Producers instructed some of the actors to hit the gym before filming began last month.
David Eigenberg, who plays Miranda's (Cynthia Nixon) husband Steve Brady, admitted he was among those told to fight the flab.
He said: "It's harder to be a man on Sex and the City than a woman. They [producers] can't tell the women to lose weight. They tell the guys to lose weight. They told me to lose a couple of pounds."
Eigenberg revealed that he took his orders seriously, saying: "You should have seen me three months ago. I was fat. I dropped 20 pounds."
