Keira Knightley has said that the sex scenes in Atonement were choreographed.
The actress claims that she and co-star James McAvoy planned in detail their intimate scenes so they wouldn't find it "weird" to be touching each other on set.
She told E!: "We choreographed it like a dance really.
"Because we choreographed all the moves and the moves are locked down, it means you don't feel weird about touching somebody's breast or something like that, because you've both agreed that's fine, so you can go for it and act a character."
