Legendary movie house Hammer Films is returning to production with a new film made for MySpace.
Beyond the Rave, Hammer's first film in 30 years, will also be MySpaceTV's first production in the UK.
It will be broadcast as 20 episodes exclusive to the website in the spring before being released in full for download and on DVD.
The producers are Ben Grass and Tom Grass of Pure Grass Films (When Evil Calls) and cast signings include Sadie Frost, Jamie Dornan, Nora-Jane Noone and Tamer Hassan.
James Fabricant, director of entertainment for MySpace Europe, added: "This partnership demonstrates how traditional media is being turned on its head.
"For Hammer to make their first movie in 30 years specifically for the MySpace community shows the dramatic change in how consumers want to access content."
Hammer Film Productions chief executive Simon Oakes said: "This is a bold venture creating horror for the 21st century through a variety of technologies."
It follows the acquisition of Hammer by John de Mol's Cryte Investments from a consortium of private investors.
