'Atonement', 'Sweeney Todd' scoop Globes

Atonement and Sweeney Todd were the big winners at the 2008 Golden Globes, picking up two awards each.

Johnny Depp bagged the best actor gong for his role in Tim Burton's musical Sweeney Todd, which also won the best musical or comedy film accolade.

The British romantic drama Atonement landed the best drama film award and also took away the title for best original score.

Daniel Day Lewis scooped the best drama actor award for his part in There Will Be Blood, while Julie Christie won the best drama actress title for her performance in Away From Her.

In the television categories Ricky Gervais' Extras won the best musical or comedy series accolade, while Mad Men was given the best drama series gong.
