Roberts signs for 'Hothouse Flowers'

Julia Roberts has been named as the producer and lead in a big screen adaptation of Margot Berwin's Hothouse Flowers.

The novel, which hasn't been published yet, tells the story of a divorced woman who ditches her job in advertising for an adventure into the unknown, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

No script has been produced for the movie yet because of the current writers' strike.

Joe Roth and Suzanne and Jennifer Todd will also help produce the film.

Roberts, who starred recently in Charlie Wilson's War, will next appear in cinemas in the thriller Duplicity, alongside Clive Owen.
