Josh Hartnett to play lead in 'Bunraku'

Variety reports that the Black Dahlia star will play a drifter out for revenge in an alternate universe.
The Snoot Entertainment production is billed as a "Spaghetti-Western-samurai-gangster mashup", drawing inspiration from sources including Japanese puppet theatre, German expressionism and video games.
The movie, written and directed by Guy Moshe, is scheduled to start filming in Europe in the spring.
