Adams signs for 'Night at the Museum 2'

Amy Adams has been signed up to appear alongside Ben Stiller in Night at the Museum 2: Escape From The Smithsonian.

The Enchanted star will play a historical figure that falls in love with Stiller's security guard character Larry, according to Variety.

The first movie featured cameos from Dick Van Dyke, Ricky Gervais and Owen Wilson and grossed $573 million worldwide.

Shawn Levy will return to direct the comedy adventure's sequel.

According to reports the film's plot will revolve around the Smithsonian museum in Washington rather than the Museum of Natural History that featured in the original.
