Scott and Crowe to retell 'Robin Hood'

Director Ridley Scott will make a film about Robin Hood once the actors' and writers' strikes are resolved.

The movie, entitled Nottingham, paints the Sheriff of Nottingham as the hero of the story while the arrow-wielding outlaw is portrayed as the villain.

Talking to Empire, Scott said: "I start Robin Hood here (in the U.K.) as soon as the writers' and actors' strikes get settled.

“I’ve already taken a walk in the woods and scouted out some locations. We’ve got Russell Crowe lined up to play the lead - he can do a really good English accent."

The film will mark Scott's fifth collaboration with Russell Crowe, who will play the Sheriff.

Crowe will be seen next in Scott's Body of Lies. The pair recently collaborated on American Gangster.
