Popstar signs for 'Ninja Assassin'

South Korean singer Rain will play the lead role in the Warner Bros film Ninja Assassin.
The movie will be produced by Joel Silver and Larry and Andy Wachowski. V for Vendetta's James McTeigue is in line to direct.
The 25-year-old popstar, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, has recently ventured into acting with roles in Park Chan-wook's I'm A Cyborg, But That's OK and the upcoming Wachowskis film Speed Racer.
Rain is recording a cover of 'Kungfu Fighting' for this summer's animated movie Kung Fu Panda and is involved in musical events for the Beijing Olympics.
