Filmmakers behind the project are hoping to interview Star Wars fans to get their opinions on Lucas and his space-opera franchise.
A statement on the film's site reads: "Are you passionate about Star Wars? Did the new trilogy leave a sour taste in your mouth? What's your stance on the Special Editions? Are you ready to stand up for George, or stand up to him?"
Fans are asked to interview themselves and send a video to the filmmakers for the chance to appear in the film.
Lucas' Star Wars prequels were box office hits but were met by mixed critical reviews and fierce criticism by fans of the original trilogy.
