Broccoli, a producer on the 007 franchise since 1987, is the daughter of Albert R. Broccoli, who initiated the Bond franchise in 1962 with Dr. No.
Broccoli passed away in 1996 and his daughter was proud to pick up an OBE, an award given to her father in 1987.
"He was awarded one 20-plus years ago so it's very emotional for me, particularly getting one after he got one," said Broccoli.
The producer was quick to state her admiration for the way her father went about building the Bond series.
"I think he led by example, both Michael and I followed his example; he was a great believer in sharing his knowledge."
Broccoli confirmed that Quantum of Solace, the 22nd James Bond adventure, is "going extremely well and there's lots of stunt work and lots of action".
