New Shia LaBeouf movie Eagle Eye has been moved from its summer release date in the US, reports ComingSoon.net.

DreamWorks/Paramount has pushed the thiller back from August 8 to September 26.

The film, directed by D.J. Caruso and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, casts LaBeouf as a slacker whose overachieving twin brother has died under mysterious circumstances. He later finds he has been framed as a terrorist and is forced to carry out a political assassination.

Michelle Monaghan, Rosario Dawson, Billy Bob Thornton and Michael Chiklis co-star in the film.

Eagle Eye will avoid clashing release dates with the Seth Rogan comedy Pineapple Express, which still holds an August 8 release date.
