Dominic Monaghan joins 'Wolverine' cast

Dominic Monaghan has joined the cast of comic book movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine, reports Variety.

The actor, known for roles in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Lost, will play Barnell, a character from Wolverine's past with the ability to manipulate energy and electricity.

Daniel Henney has also boarded the film as Agent Zero, a deadly marksmen in the Weapon X program.

Wolverine is currently shooting in New Zealand under the direction of Rendition's Gavin Hood.

Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston, Taylor Kitsch, Will.I.Am, Lynn Collins and Ryan Reynolds are already among the cast.
