Ferrell snubbed by Gervais for 'Extras' role
Will Ferrell was apparently snubbed by Ricky Gervais for a role in TV sitcom Extras.

Speaking to Zoo magazine, the Anchorman star said: "I was approached to be in an episode [of Extras]. I said I would love to be in it, but that was the last I ever heard. Perhaps they went for Jack Black and I got bumped off! Who knows?"

There are no hard feelings on Ferrell's part, though, as the actor described Gervais as "fantastic". He also admitted to being a fan of Simon Pegg and the BBC sketch show Little Britain.

Ferrell was recently named worst autographer in a magazine poll.
