Jason Isaacs has joined the cast of Paul Greengrass's untitled Iraq war thriller.
The film - based on Rajiv Chandrasekaran’s non-fiction book Imperial Life in the Emerald City: Inside Baghdad’s Green Zone - details the US government's blundered attempts to rebuild Iraq after the defeat of Saddam Hussein.
Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear and Amy Ryan have already been cast in the Working Title/Universal film, which is currently shooting in Spain.
Isaacs will play an American army officer.
The actor's recent work includes playing Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise and starring in the political drama The State Within.
