'Atonement' wins big at Empire Awards

Atonement was voted Best British Film, with stars Keira Knightley and James McAvoy winning Best Actress and Best Actor respectively.
The Bourne Ultimatum scooped the Best Film prize at the fifth annual ceremony, which was hosted by Rob Brydon.
Ewan McGregor was presented with an Empire Icon Award by fellow actor Jim Broadbent, receiving congratulations from both Woody Allen and Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh.

Elsewhere, David Yates triumphed in the Best Director category for Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, while This Is England director Shane Meadows received an Outstanding Contribution Award.
Stars including Matt Damon, Ewan McGregor, Emma Watson, James McAvoy, Simon Pegg and Rupert Everett attended the bash, which also saw an Empire Inspiration Award for Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro.
