The film will begin production in late summer or early autumn and is a co-production between Universal and Sony Pictures.
Apatow, who will write and direct the film, is currently keeping the plot for his Knocked Up follow-up under wraps.
All three actors have worked with Apatow before. Sandler co-wrote the upcoming You Don't Mess with the Zohan with him, while Rogen has starred in several Apatow projects including The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Leslie Mann, who is married to the director, first worked with him on The Cable Guy.
