'Terminator' film doesn't have a title

Warner Bros' new Terminator film is now without a title, reports ComingSoon.net.

The movie, the fourth in the long-running science fiction franchise, had previously been known as Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

Christian Bale and Sam Worthington will star in director McG's reinvention of the blockbuster series that pits mankind against artificial intelligence system Skynet. The film is being targeted as the first in a trilogy.

Terminator was recently handed a May 22, 2009 release date. The film will go head to head with another high-profile blockbuster - Fox's Ben Stiller comedy Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian.

It doesn't really matter that McG's directing it - even though everything he's done so far has been pretty shallow, the script must be good if Bale's signed up. Hopefully we'll have a strong story with lots of stylish visuals. I'm really looking forward to seeing a post-apocalyptic 'future war' story because fans have wanted more of that world for years. It should have featured much more in T2 and T3, but probably would have busted their budgets. Now we're getting a whole trilogy set in that future, and I can't wait for scenes like John Connor meeting Kyle Reese for the first time. Bring it on.

Sequels (in fact any film) is only as good as the plot. If the sequels plot relies too much on the previous plots and doesnt add anything to the story then you might as well not do it. On the other hand, overdoing it (as in Highlander II) can just trash the whole thing and leave a bad taste in your mouth. The original Highlander was a great film. The sequels have ranged from absolute tosh (II) which I wouldnt watch again to passable. keep makin' em if you've got a story to tell.

When bad sequels are made some people say it degrades the original. I'm the opposite I'm completly blinded by the fact that the sequels conatin elements of a film I have loved. Hence I loved Blues Brothers 2000, Terminator 3 etc.. so I say. Keep on makin 'em, I'll keep on lovin 'em!!!!!

This could be a tragedy if McG is directing anybody remember Charlies Angels, lets hope Christain Bale is our salvation.
