Smith children to star in 'Amulet'

Will Smith's children Willow and Jaden are to star in a forthcoming adaptation of graphic novel Amulet: The Stonekeeper.

Smith and James Lassiter's production company Overbrook Entertainment will co-produce with Akiva Goldsman's Weed Road for Warner Bros.

Kazu Kibuishi's book tells the story of a brother and sister who move to their deceased great-grandfather's home when their dad dies. They are forced to use an amulet to rescue their mum when a sinister creature lures her through a mysterious door in the basement.

A further four books are planned in the series, from publishing firm Scholastic.

Willow, 7, recently starred with her dad in I Am Legend, while nine-year-old Jaden joined the actor in 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness.
