'Grindhouse' heading to UK cinemas
Published Friday, Mar 21 2008, 10:46 GMT | By Simon Reynolds

The film, an homage to drive-in exploitation films of the '60s and '70s, is comprised of Rodriguez's zombie horror Planet Terror, Quentin Tarantino's thriller Death Proof and a selection of fake trailers during the intermission by directors Eli Roth, Edgar Wright and Rob Zombie.
The movie will be screened in its original form starting in London on March 28 and touring various UK cinemas until June 10.
Grindhouse flopped on its opening weekend in the US, prompting distributors The Weinstein Company to cancel its planned international release. The film was later split into two, with Death Proof opening on September 21 in the UK last year and Planet Terror arriving on November 27.
