De Niro tops 'paycheque role' poll

Robert De Niro has topped a poll of respected actors who have starred in films so terrible that they can only have done it for the money.

The Oscar winner's turn as Fearless Leader in critically-panned 2000 comedy The Adventures Of Rocky + Bulwinkle was voted the 'Most Shameless Paycheque Role Of All Time'.

Richard Burton's portrayal of a priest in 1977 sequel Exorcist II: The Heretic finished second in the survey by Entertainment Weekly.

Ben Kingsley landed in third for 2005 film Bloodrayne, followed by Tony Curtis for The Bad News Bears Go To Japan (1978) and Dennis Hopper for 1993 video game adaptation Super Mario Bros.
