Scrubs star Elizabeth Banks is being lined up to appear in Oliver Stone's upcoming biopic of US President George W Bush.
The actress, who plays JD's love interest Dr Kim Briggs in the show, is in final talks to take the role of First Lady Laura Bush.
She recently finished shooting Kevin Smith comedy Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Her previous credits include The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Fred Claus and the Spider-Man movies.
No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin will play the president in the film, which aims to give a "fair, true portrait" of its subject in a similar style to The Queen.
It is scheduled to begin filming in Shreveport, Louisiana next month.
