The actor recently starred in horror sequel The Hills Have Eyes 2 and was a stuntman on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and new movie Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The New Line Cinema and Platinum Dunes film will be directed by Marcus Nispel, who helmed 2003's successful remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Chainsaw producers Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are also on board.
The film, which also stars Supernatural's Jared Padalecki, is scheduled for a release on February 13, 2009.
