Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has been voted the most anticipated film of summer 2008.
A survey on cinema ticketing site Fandango.com polled readers on the movies they were most looking forward to seeing this summer. The Indy sequel topped the poll with 82% of the votes, while superhero films The Dark Knight (42%) and Iron Man (38%) made it to second and third, respectively.
The top ten films in full are:
1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (82%)
2. The Dark Knight (42%)
3. Iron Man (38%)
4. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (37%)
5. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (30%)
6. Get Smart (29%)
7. The Incredible Hulk (22%)
8. The X-Files 2 (20%)
9. Speed Racer (19%)
10. Sex and the City (19%)
Indiana Jones was also the top pick for all-time favourite action movie character. Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker was voted the character movie-goers were anticipating the most.
