Shore returning to score 'The Hobbit'?

According to Ain't It Cool News, Shore told an audience attending a live performance of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack that he would be involved with the new films.
In an earlier interview with the site, Shore said he would "love" to work on The Hobbit if trilogy director Peter Jackson was involved.
"It would be wonderful. It would be so great to return to Middle-earth and be writing music in that world again," he confessed.
Shore and Jackson had a disagreement over the score for King Kong, with the composer eventually being replaced by James Newton Howard.
Guillermo del Toro is currently attached to direct the two prequels with Jackson acting as executive producer.
The Hobbit has suffered a troubled development process, with Jackson and studio New Line involved in a battle over payments owed for work on The Fellowship of the Ring.
The pair later put their differences aside and Jackson agreed to produce prequel films based on The Hobbit.
