Ben Stiller takes on 'King Doug'

Ben Stiller will produce the big screen adaptation of graphic novel The Return of King Doug.

According to Variety, the comedian may also take the lead role in the movie, which tells the story of a man who must return to a fantasy world that he abandoned 30 years earlier.

DreamWorks has purchased the rights to the film and Greg Orb and Jason Oremland have been tipped to write the screenplay.

Stiller will be assisted by Red Hour Films producers Stuart Cornfield and Jeremy Kramer, while Joe Nozemack and Peter Schwerin are executive producing.
