McConaughey considering Magnum role

Matthew McConaughey has reportedly been offered the lead role in the upcoming adaptation of Magnum PI.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the actor is considering starring as Thomas Magnum, the part originally played by Tom Selleck in the '80s TV series.

Vince Vaughn, George Clooney and Ben Affleck were previously tipped for the role.

Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment are producing the Universal film from a script by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story).
