Stan Lee has agreed to create three movies for Disney with his POW! Entertainment company.

The veteran director signed a first-look deal with the organisation last summer and has now commissioned three projects called Nick Ratchet, Blaze and Tigress.

Tigress will be written by Zoe Green and produced by George Tillman and Robert Teitel. Gary Goldman is writing Blaze, while Nick Ratchet will be helmed by Richard LaGravenese.

The characters in all the movies have been developed by Lee and the films have the potential to be turned into comic books.

Lee told Variety: "You either have a great comic book and it becomes a great movie. Or you have a great movie that becomes a great comic book. These things have a natural progression."
