Michael Bay hits back at Uwe Boll

Michael Bay has attacked Uwe Boll after the German director posted a video rant calling him a "retard".

Boll's YouTube video is in response to a petition on the internet that, should it receive 1 million signatures, will persuade him to stop making movies.

In the clip, the Alone in the Dark helmer said: "Look, I’m not a f***ing retard like Michael Bay or other people running around in the business... or Eli Roth making the same s***ty movies over and over again. If you really look in my movies you will see my real genius."

After criticising George Clooney, Boll added: "You have to really wake up and see me for what I am, the only genius in the whole f***ing business."

Transformers director Bay responded to the comments on his official message forum, calling Boll a "sad being".

"I find people who rant like that - calling s*** about both me and George Clooney - comes from someone screaming because he is not being heard. He is obviously a sad being. When you ask 'do I care?' Not in the slightest."
