Writer shrugs off 'Austin Powers' rumours

Austin Powers writer Michael McCullers has dismissed speculation that a fourth movie is in the works.

The Boston Globe had reported that Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen was to play Mike Myers's love interest in the film, which it claimed already has a script.

But McCullers, who collaborated with Myers on the second and third instalments, said he had no idea about a new project.

He told ComingSoon: "I don't know. I see those rumours like everyone else. I think a lot of them are just rumours. I had not heard that particular rumour.

"I wait for the phone to ring on that one, you know what I mean? That's my role in that."
