Bobby and Peter Farrelly will produce and possibly direct Beaujolais, a comedy script from Mike Arnold and Chris Poole, for Fox.
Variety reports that the film will be a "redneck action-adventure" with a lead character similar to Austin Powers and Ace Ventura.
Bobby Farrelly said: "We haven't stepped up and done something like us in a while. Everything sort of aligned for us on this project."
The Farrellys have previously directed Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary and The Heartbreak Kid. Their comedy TV series Unhitched debuted on Fox last month.
