Christian Slater has signed to star in an upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's short story Dolan's Cadillac.

Wes Bentley (Ghost Rider) and Emmanuelle Vaugier (Saw IV) will also appear in the thriller, directed by Erik Canuel from Richard Dooling's screenplay.

The Film Bridge International project revolves around a man (Bentley) who devises an elaborate revenge plot when Las Vegas gangster Jimmy Dolan (Slater) murders his wife (Vaugier) to stop her testifying in a trial.

Production is scheduled to begin in Canada on May 14, reports Screen Daily.

The movie was previously slated for Sylvester Stallone and Kevin Bacon, but the planned adaptation fell through in 2001.
