Universal buys Guggenheim's 'Resurrection'

Marc Guggenheim's comic Resurrection has been optioned for film by Universal, The Hollywood Reporter says.
The series, published by Oni Press, follows a group of survivors trying to take back Earth following an alien invasion.
Oni also has Scott Pilgrim vs. the World in development with the studio.
Scott Stuber and Eric Gitter are attached to produce Resurrection.
Eli Stone co-creator Guggenheim has previously worked on comic books for Marvel. He is currently writing Green Lantern, a film based on the DC Comics hero.
