A sequel to 2005's low-fi horror hit The Descent is being planned by Celador Films and Pathé, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jon Harris, who edited the first film, will direct the sequel from a script by Jamie Watkins.
Descent 2 will be produced by Neil Marshall, the first movie's writer and director, and Christian Colson.
Shauna MacDonald and Natalie Mendoza will return for the sequel, with Gavan O'Herlihy, Joshua Dallas, Anna Skellern, Douglas Hodge and Krysten Cummings new additions to the cast.
The story sees MacDonald's character Sarah head back to the caves she fought her way out of in the first film to look for survivors from her group.
The $10 million budgeted original grossed $57 million at the worldwide box office.
