Stone: 'Bush biopic is a great story'

Oliver Stone has described the life of President George W. Bush as a "great story".

The director, who previously made films about Nixon and JFK, said there will be plenty to interest movie-goers in upcoming biopic W.

He told Entertainment Weekly: "Bush may turn out to be the worst president in history but that doesn't mean he isn't a great story. It's almost Capra-esque, the story of a guy who had very limited talents in life, except for the ability to sell himself.

"The fact that he had to overcome the shadow of his father and the weight of his family name - you have to admire his tenacity."

The film stars Josh Brolin as Bush and Scrubs star Elizabeth Banks as First Lady Laura. Paul Giamatti, Thandie Newton, Rob Corddry, James Cromwell, Ellen Burstyn and Ioan Gruffudd are also rumoured to have joined the cast.
