The pair will be joined by Gabrielle Rose (Sisters), Serge Houde (The Invisible), Stephen Park (Fargo) and Malcolm Stewart (Jumanji) in the Paul Solet film.
The story revolves around eight months pregnant Madeline Matheson (Ladd), whose unborn child Grace dies inside her. When Madeline insists on carrying Grace to term and delivers her naturally, the baby comes back to life with an appetite for human blood.
Ferris played Ellen Harvelle in the second season of sci-fi drama Supernatural. Ladd's horror credentials include 2002's Cabin Fever and last year's Hostel II.
Solet is directing the movie from his own screenplay.
