Joel Surnow, co-creator of hit TV show 24, has sold a romantic comedy script to Universal, The Hollywood Reporter says.

A modern-day Pygmalion, Surnow's That Face focuses on a worker at a Manhattan cosmetics firm who must save his job by turning a foul-mouthed Brooklyn girl into the company's spokesmodel.

Along with 24, Surnow has also worked on TV shows Miami Vice, The Equalizer and La Femme Nikita. He recently agreed to develop a spy thriller at United Artists for Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) to direct.
