Darabont helming 'Law Abiding Citizen'

Frank Darabont will direct Law Abiding Citizen with Gerard Butler in the lead role, Screen Daily reports.
The $40 million thriller follows a criminal mastermind who controls a city from inside his jail cell. Butler will play a prosecutor trying to stop him.
Production will begin on Law Abiding Citizen on August 18 with Darabont directing from a script by Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium).
Darabont has previously directed prison dramas The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, both Stephen King adaptations.
