LaBeouf: Filming 'Indy 4' was terrifying

Shia LaBeouf has described making the new Indiana Jones movie as the most "terrifying and electrifying" experience of his life.

The 21-year-old said he had not known what to expect when he took the role of Harrison Ford's sidekick Mutt Williams in The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull and was overwhelmed by the media frenzy.

He told the official Indiana Jones Magazine: "I was thrown into this. Steven (Spielberg) just said: 'Welcome to Indiana Jones.'"

He revealed that working with snakes had been one of the trickier aspects of filming, saying: "I'm not a big snake fan. I knew it was coming, even before I read the script.

"The funniest thing about that whole thing was Steven is behind the camera and he wants me to hit a mark with the snake's head. It's a live snake and it's all over the place. You can't control the snake's head."

He added: "It's a heavy snake, about 50 pounds, and you're trying to throw it onto the mark, but the snake is retracting."
