Fugit to replace Maguire in 'Spider-Man 4'?

Patrick Fugit is the frontrunner to replace Tobey Maguire in Spider-Man 4, according to Latino Review.

With no deal in place for Maguire to return to the franchise, studio Sony is reportedly lining up potential replacements.

Patrick Fugit (Almost Famous) and Michael Angarano (Sky High) are allegedly at the top of a list of Spider-Man candidates.

Fugit's credits also include Wristcutters, White Oleander and ER. Angarano has appeared in 24, Lords Of Dogtown and Seabiscuit as a younger version of Tobey Maguire's character.

Recent rumours stated that Sony is looking to shoot two sequels back to back.
