Brand scraps 'Booky Wook' film

It was reported earlier this year that the comedian had teamed up with director Michael Winterbottom and producer Andrew Eaton to adapt the memoir for the big screen.
However, he told MTV Movies Blog that he has now abandoned the idea, saying: "I'm not going to make the Booky Wook into a film anymore because then people in America will learn what my past is like.
"People that can be bothered to read know that I have a chequered past."
Brand has reportedly landed a chatshow series for US TV after impressing executives while promoting movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
