The movie version of the Eidos Entertainment game will mark the feature directorial debut of Simon Crane.
Crane previously worked as second unit director and stunt coordinator on films including Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Troy and X-Men: The Last Stand. He is currently working with Willis on The Surrogates.
The actor is in negotiations to play Adam "Kane" Marcus, a mercenary who teams up with schizophrenic killer James Lynch on a mission to find a stolen microchip.
The Lionsgate production will begin filming before the end of the year.
