Van Heijningen helming 'Army Of The Dead'

Matthijs van Heijningen will direct zombie action film Army Of The Dead for Warner Bros, The Hollywood Reporter says.
Zack Snyder and his wife Deborah (300) will produce the film. Joby Harold (Awake) wrote the screenplay.
The film, van Heijningen's feature debut, will focus on a father as he tries to save his daughter amid a zombie outbreak.
Snyder, who began his career in commercials, praised van Heijningen for "his ability to infuse humour with irony, [allowing] him to create compelling stories in 30 seconds".
