The company, known for comedies such as Anger Management, Click and the upcoming You Don't Mess With The Zohan, will segue into a new genre by producing Shortcut through its newly-formed Scary Madison division.
Shortcut follows two brothers who discover a rarely used route in their new town. It soon emerges that residents have good reason to avoid the shortcut.
Nicholaus Goosen will direct the film, with Sandler and business partner Jack Giarraputo acting as executive producers.
