Mazeau to pen Gyllenhaal's lunar film

Dan Mazeau will pen the script for DreamWorks' long in-development lunar colonisation movie.

Previously, screenwriters John Hamburg, Mark Bowden and Simon Kinberg have tried to get the film off the ground without success.

Jake Gyllenhaal is attached to star in the film for Mr. And Mrs. Smith helmer Doug Liman. Alli Shearmur (Stop-Loss) will serve as producer alongside Liman and Kinberg.

Mazeau recently worked on a script for a proposed Jonny Quest film. Producers at Warner Bros are hoping that a live-action version of Hanna-Barbera's '60s cartoon can be turned into a hit franchise.
