Writers Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman sold a script to Paramount at the end of last week which detailed how Bushnell went from fixing pinball machines to forming the Atari Corporation in the early '70s. The company was eventually sold to Warner Communications for $28 million.
Bushnell was also involved in the creation of Pong and set up the Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatres restaurant chain.
The Atari project is the latest in a long line of films to which DiCaprio is attached. He is also involved with Fleming, The Low Dwellers, Akira and Brave New World.
