Jack Black has pulled out of working on supernatural comedy Man-Witch.

The film, which is being helmed by Old School director Todd Phillips, follows the story of a man who discovers he's a witch and ends up teaching at an all-female witch school.

Black was signed up to play the lead role.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Black had doubts about Phillips's commitment to the movie.

Warner Bros and Phillips are currently compiling a list of possible replacements for the comedy actor.

Black's latest movie, Kung Fu Panda, topped the US box office last weekend.
