Calzaghe, who attended the Sherlock Holmes premiere party on Monday night, claimed that he could do similar roles to ex-footballer Vinnie Jones.
"I'm not in the gym every day like I used to be so I've got a bit of time on my hands," the Welsh sports star told The Sun.
"I want to give the acting a go, why not? Vinnie's done really well for himself, there's no reason why I can't."
The 37-year-old took part in Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year, but exited the BBC One show in week five.
