'90210' star 'lost Twilight role over accent'

The actor, who plays Ethan Ward in the CW drama, admitted to Access Hollywood that he had auditioned for the part of the brooding vampire before it was eventually won by Robert Pattinson.
"The first [audition] I did was with [director] Catherine Hardwicke and I went in there and did my best Edward Cullen," he explained.
"Unfortunately I didn't have a British accent. So I didn't get the job!"
Describing how women react to Pattinson's real-life British accent, he said: "It's like, boom! Ladies love that. Melt!"
Milligan can next be seen alongside Jason Bateman and Mila Kunis in the comedy Extract, which opens in the US next week.
