The actress, who played Katy Fox in the Channel 4 soap, said her dad would be unable to handle the "gruesome" film after fainting while watching '80s slasher flick The Burning.
She told Teletext: "My mum thought he was messing around but he really had passed out while watching it on TV. He came round but didn't watch the rest of the movie. The Day is quite gory."
The movie, which also stars Jeremy Sheffield, Stephen Campbell Moore and Rachel Shelley, is scheduled for release in November.
